The National Congress of Slow Food USA takes place every four years and offers chapter leaders the opportunity to participate in the national dialogue and strategic direction of the Slow Food movement
Agenda items included:
- Discussion and voting on the Slow Food USA National Statute
- Presentations on national and international programs including the Ark of Taste and Renewing America’s Food Traditions
- Leadership training and professional development for volunteers
- Peer-to-peer networking opportunities and resource sharing
- Election and/or confirmation of regional representatives

A meeting of 35 Slow Food in Schools Projects Leaders on resource sharing and leadership training related to their garden-to-table school projects.
The first-ever Slow Food in Schools Project Leaders Conference took place in conjunction with Slow Food Nation and the National Congress. The conference brought together more than 30 leaders of Slow Food in Schools garden-to-table projects around the country to work on program development, attend professional development workshops and do site visits to local projects.
