Schedule & Tickets
A farmers’ market of seasonal fruits, vegetables and artisan-made foods available directly from the producers. Take home local ingredients and put Slow Food on your table.
Market
Civic Center Plaza | Friday, August 29 – Sunday, August 31 | 9am – 4pm | Open to the Public
The Market at Civic Center Plaza showcases more than 60 California farmers and producers from 30 counties in the state who grow and produce good, clean and fair food. Visitors to the Market can buy dry-farmed Early Girl tomatoes, muslin-wrapped cheddar cheese and sweet potato pie directly from the producers and learn about the next generation of farmers, water conservation and biological and cultural diversity in California’s food system.
All vendors at the Market have been approved by Slow Food Nation staff and curators for their commitment to using good (delicious), clean (environmentally friendly) and fair (socially just) production practices.
We ask that you help minimize the Market’s waste and carbon footprint by bringing your own reusable tote bags, used paper or plastic bags to hold fruit and vegetables and your own bottle for water from the Water Stations. Market vendors are discouraged from using plastic packaging or bags and are asked to compost all food waste.
