“We support Slow Food’s efforts to create a healthy and sustainable food system for all. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to compliment Slow Food Nation with infusing the excitement of great music in this spectacular location,” said Tom Shepard, CEO of Festival Network.
Slow Food Nation will bring together tens of thousands to experience an extraordinary range of activities highlighting the connection between plate and planet. All food and beverage vendors for the music festival will be sourced through Slow Food Nation, representing the best in good, clean and fair prepared foods, meats, produce, micro-brews and wine. To highlight issues concerning urban and global water use, Slow Food Nation is partnering with Food & Water Watch and the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission to develop accessible and visible water stations. All water will be free of charge. As Slow Food Nation strives to be a plastic-free event, we encourage you to bring your own reusable water bottle. The Great Meadow at Fort Mason Center, part of Golden Gate National Park, provides a beautiful, intimate setting highlighted by the Golden Gate Bridge.
