Slow Food USA

Slow Food USA envisions a world in which all people have access to food that is good for them, good for the people who grow it and good for the planet. Slow Food USA is a nonprofit membership organization that seeks to create dramatic and lasting change in the food system. Headquartered in New York City, Slow Food USA has more than 16,000 members and 200 local chapters in 47 states. Its members comprise a network of culinary professionals, food enthusiasts, food producers, educators and students. Slow Food USA and its chapters produce educational events and conduct public outreach that promote regional foods and food producers; advocate sustainability and biodiversity; make direct connections between consumers and their food source; and celebrate the pleasure of food prepared with quality ingredients and shared around a convivial table.
